Malta Gaming Authority suspends Random Games Limited license- Updated

After earlier initiating an investigation into Random Games Limited, the Malta Gaming Authority has now suspended the online casino games developer’s license while additionally ordering the firm to cease all operations.

Please note that Random Games Limited is a private limited company based in the UK and is in no way associated with the company of the same name ‘Random Games Limited’ registered in Malta with the registration number C50145 previously holding license MGA/CL1/670/2010.

The regulator revealed that the license was indefinitely suspended on March 3 so as not to compromise an ongoing enquiry although it did not identify the specifics of its investigation or mention any operators, websites or platforms that may have been affected.

“Random Games Limited has been directed to indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease to register new players, suspend all transactions on all websites including deposits and withdrawals and submit all data and documentation requested by the [Malta Gaming] Authority,” read a statement from the Malta regulator.

The Malta Gaming Authority also advised players waiting for an outstanding payment from Random Games Limited to contact its office via Support.MGA@MGA.Org.mt quoting their full name, address, birth date, telephone number and username while additionally including a copy of their passport or photo identification card and a screenshot of their balance or pending cash out.

“The [Malta Gaming] Authority hereby notifies that any websites operated by Random Games Limited or associated with Random Games Limited and which make reference to the [Malta Gaming] Authority or [remote gaming license MGA/CL1/670/2010] is not approved to be operational by the [Malta Gaming] Authority,” read the statement from the regulator. “Due to the suspension of the license, Random Games Limited is therefore not authorized to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under [a Malta Gaming] Authority license.”

The Malta Gaming Authority further declared that it would not be releasing any additional information about Random Games Limited so as “not to compromise any investigations that may need to be performed” by itself or “any other competent authority”.
